Sports Manual Therapy

Certified in Sports Manual Therapy, PSPT uses the most effective manual therapy techniques tailored for the active adult and athlete. Sports place high and specific demands on joints and muscles. This requires high level and specific attention from a provider trained to treat athletes. We understand this and deliver results so you can reach your sport and fitness goals with improved mobility and performance.

Strength & Performance

Strength is one of the foundations of a truly healthy musculoskeletal system. It is both simple and complex. Simply put it is “force production” and quantified as load, weight or the amount of resistance the body can move. The complexities of strength training include understanding proper and high quality exercise form, understanding how and when to progress and regress the difficulty of an exercise, understanding how to modify training volume, frequency, sets, reps, hold times, rest times, etc. in order to reach your fitness or sports goals in the most efficient and effective way possible. This is what PSPT takes seriously and has a passion for optimizing, educating and delivering on. Patients deserve professional guidance to understand their bodies and how to safely and properly lift, train and strengthen to reach their goals.

Dry Needling

Dry Needling is the insertion of a thin monofilament dry needle into or nearby tight and painful muscle sites often referred to as “trigger points.” Other tissues may also be targeted for further benefit beyond pain relief and relaxation of tight muscles. Benefits include pain relief, increased relaxation, restored range of motion, and restored muscle activation patterns needed for optimal biomechanics and motor coordination during activities and sport.
